Dr Julien Bundun (Principal Dentist)
From a young age, Julien had a fascination with disassembling and rebuilding, a passion that naturally led him to a career in dentistry—a field dedicated to restoring both function and aesthetics.
Julien earned his Bachelor of Dentistry from the University of Sydney in 2010, graduating with the prestigious prize in clinical restorative dentistry, awarded to the student with the highest achievements in restorative dental work. His aptitude for precision and meticulous care was evident early in his training.
Before pursuing dentistry, Julien completed a degree in Medical Radiations with a specialisation in diagnostic radiography at RMIT University in 2004. His experience working in medical hospitals provides him with a strong foundation in general medical health, equipping him with the expertise to care for patients with complex medical needs.
Dedicated to continuous professional development, Julien sought to refine his skills by training with some of the world’s leading dental experts. His advanced education includes training at the New York University School of Dentistry and King’s College London, where he focused on methods to stabilise and prolong dental function. Julien’s continued endeavour to seek excellence has earned him high recognition from his peers and dental specialists in Melbourne and Sydney.
In addition to his clinical practice, he has a passion for education and mentorship, he served as a clinical demonstrator at Western Health Services, where he supervised Master of Dentistry students from LaTrobe University. His commitment to teaching has earned him praise for his exceptional approach and high-quality instruction.
Patients can trust that they are receiving the highest standard of care, focused on the long-term health of their teeth. With a strong emphasis on durability and reliability, Julien ensures that every treatment delivers long-lasting results. Patients can feel at ease knowing they are in the hands of a highly skilled clinician with advanced dental knowledge, who approaches treatment with kindness, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude.
Julien speaks French and Creole, has a passion for Japanese cuisine—especially ramen—and is also a talented cook. An aspiring comedian, he might even share a joke or two if you are awake during treatment. In his spare time, he explores a variety of creative pursuits, including photography, music, electronics, and furniture making, always eager to learn and build something new.
